A dance solo by Simon Tanguy that I wrote the music for. The piece won the Amsterdam ITS Festival 2011 choreography award  and performed at Theatre de la Ville Paris.

JAPAN explores the physical and poetic vocabulary of agony. It investigates contraction, release, fainting, waking-up, coma, fight, collapse, fall, resurrection, slow death, fast death, the testament.
The piece aims to realise the potential of the dancing body as intense, poetic, violent and absurd. The choreographic structure creates a surrealist universe and a “hyper” dynamic energy.
