I wrote music for this performance by Simon Tanguy. I’m also one of the live musicians.
An infinite amount of information, memories, words, images are being streamed through our bodies at all time. Simon Tanguy’s choreographic work searches for a physical translation of the “being streamed by”. PEOPLE IN A FIELD digs into the multiplicity of experience that we all recognize, the flow of unrelated things a body can feel or do – dancing, dreaming, hallucinating, laughing, listening, wondering, and the human capacity to experience with simple tools. It touches upon the magic capability of people to live (through) (all kind of) things and the impossibility of these things to stay with them.
